Students have a broad and specialised scientific knowledge in the field of political discourse, language policy & politics as well as sociolinguistics with regards to Romance languages in Northamerica. They are able to independently find and work on new scientific problems in their field of research.
In-depth study of the Romance languages in North America (Canada, USA, Mexico), their language policy characteristics, migration and sociolinguistic conditions and the place of the languages in the multilingual societies of North America.
