Learning Outcome:

The students can enter unprerpared in and sustain a longer conversation on a vast variety of different topics relevant for their fields of study. (level B1/B2)

Contents:

Selected topics (history, lifestyle, leisure, science, cultural issues, current affairs) from different media will be presented and discussed on the basis of different activities and questions. Topic-related vocabulary will be acquired and constantly expanded. (level B1/B2)

Methods:

Partner and group discussions, presentations, role plays etc.

Assessment:

Active participation, presentations, oral examination at the end of term.

BA-students: successful completation of compulsory module 4

Student teachers: successful completation of compulsory module 7
