Learning Outcome:

Students who have completed this course should understand, be able to report and apply the content of this lecture. They should have developed the ability to acquire similar contents on their own. Furthermore, they should have developed a basic understanding of astrophysics.

Contents:

methods and instruments, units and scales, stellar structure and evolution, interstellar matter, galaxies and galactic structure, clusters of galaxies, cosmology

Methods:

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Assessment:

Course examination according to § 6, statute section on "study-law regulations"

Literature:

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
