Most up-to-date scientific knowledge and understanding of the field of extragalactic astrophysics.

The course will survey the field of extragalactic astrophysics, covering such topics as: morphological, photometric, dynamical and demographic properties of galaxies, together with their gaseous, chemical, stellar and nuclear properties; galaxy groups and clusters;
dark matter and gravitational lenses; galaxy formation and evolution; and cosmology.
