Students aquire comprehensive knowledge of the technologies used in modern psychological research as well as their practical applications and can also challenge them.

In the digital age, modern technologies are an integral part of our society. In the course of the lecture we will discuss how these technologies can be used as valuable sources of information for psychological research and how they have changed our understanding of previous research approaches and methods. Topics include big data, recommendation systems, experience sampling, artificial intelligence, mHealth, sentiment analysis, social media and virtual reality. A particular focus lies on the research fields of personality psychology and assessment as well as cognitive and emotional psychology.
