This course is designed to introduce you to the versatility of operational emergency management and strategies and courses of action in times of crisis. You will be able to implement and offer knowledge about emergency psychological interventions for individuals and entire teams. You will understand the importance of preventive measures for the acute phase as well as the importance of aftercare following operational crises and emergencies.

The complexity of the working world is constantly increasing, and it has long since ceased to be sufficient to focus on the original tasks of the business - for the economic survival of a business, it is just as important to deal intensively and extensively with the challenges of operational emergency management. In this course, we aim to do just that. Numerous legally mandated safety measures must be implemented and adhered to. Operations must be able to rely on sound risk and crisis management. Blackouts, natural disasters, and industrial and occupational accidents, etc. - all of these can happen suddenly and unexpectedly. We will also deal with the importance and effect of "leading in crises" - persons responsible for leadership should support and relieve affected employees, but for this a knowledge of psychodynamic processes in emergency situations among the affected persons and in the teams/departments is indispensable (e.g. through individual and group interventions). This course combines scientific theories with many practical examples.
