Navigating the Interface: A guide to the Google Earth Engine IDE, including how to access data and visualize datasets. Accessing Satellite Imagery and Datasets: How to search for and import satellite imagery and other geospatial data. Basic Data Processing and Analysis: Introduction to image processing, creating composites, and basic analysis techniques. Introduction to Scripting: Basics of using the Earth Engine Code Editor for writing scripts to analyze and visualize data. Case Studies and Applications: Overview of real-world applications. Getting Started with Your Own Project: Guidance on initiating a simple project, from data selection to basic analysis. Resources and Community: Introduction to further learning resources, forums, and how to engage with the Earth Engine community.

Pracical exercises using Google Earth Engine and programming software

Contribution to discussion and project work

Basic programming experience and basic remote sensing knowledge. The seminar is intended for members of the Innsbruck Doctoral College Mountain Climate and Environment or an affiliated Doctoral College of the Innsbruck Doctoral School in Mountain Research. Doctoral students from other disciplines are welcome to apply but priority will be given to the above-mentioned students.
