winter semester 2024/2025 | Last update: 21.05.2024 | Place course on memo listStudents will learn the principles of data analysis, uncertainty and error propagation in Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences.
This block course will familiarize students with fundamental concepts of data analysis and handling uncertainty, and provide insights into effectively communicating errors in scientific contexts
Taught block course with practical exercises using Python including computational algorithms such as Monte Carlo experiments for error propagation. Provide insights into effectively communicating errors in scientific contexts.
Final project at the end of the course
The seminar is intended for members of the Innsbruck Doctoral College Mountain Climate and Environment or an affiliated Doctoral College of the Innsbruck Doctoral School in Mountain Research. Doctoral students from other disciplines are welcome to apply but priority will be given to the above-mentioned students.
