SE Seminar for PhD students - Presentation and discussion of their own research work with a focus on tourism and leisure in mountain regions. Students can write and critically reflect on research proposals on their topic.
Students present and discuss their research work with a focus on tourism and leisure in mountain regions orally, with the emphasis on lively and interdisciplinary discussion among themselves and with their supervisors. This is done with the help of a research assignment/research proposal that highlights the scientific and practical relevance of their own research.
Dates and content:
Date 1: 17.10 - Preliminary discussion
Appointment to be arranged: Tour of the Core Facility (Experimental Behavioral Research & Media Education) at Campus Sport, Fürstenweg 176)
Date 2: 05.12 - Guest speaker to present successful research proposals; input from the lecturers; interim presentations by the students
Date 3: 23.01 - Final presentations and award ceremony, joint conclusion and reflection
Presentation and discussions in plenum and with peer groups, adaptation of scientific PhD project-specific contents.

The aim is to finalize project proposals that can be submitted for tourism funding calls.
On January 23, the research proposal and its presentation will be awarded. For the best proposals, which can also be transformed into abstracts and presented at conferences (e.g. IMC2025), the IDC will provide the conference fee.
