summer semester 2025 | Last update: 03.04.2025 | Place course on memo listParticipants are familiarised with different forms of Christian spirituality and spiritual theology in connection with the subjects of theology and Christian philosophy.
In December 2023, the Faculty of Theology held a research day, the presentations of which will be made available to students and the wider public in the form of a lecture series in the summer semester 2024.
Lectures are given from the following areas: Psychology and Spirituality; Spiritual Impulses from the Old Testament; Feminist Spirituality; Science and Spirituality; Spiritual Experience and Everyday Mysticism. The lectures are each accompanied by a statement from a lecturer from another subject area, followed by a discussion. In addition to these lecture series, which are open to a wider circle of students and interested persons, there are also separate lecture units for course participants in which this content is combined with basic topics of Christian spirituality: Relationship with God and Christian prayer or meditation, discernment, vocation, discipleship, accompaniment, the world-centredness of Christian spirituality and the like. The diversity of Christian spirituality should also become tangible.

oral: oral examination, whereby active participation is taken into account; written: summary and statement on a lecture plus response in the lecture series
