Elective Module 2: Market, State, Social Institutions 2 (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The aim is to acquire detailed knowledge of the emergence and forms of major social institutions and structures as well as familiarity with comparative sociology. With the help of specific examples, and also from theoretical and methodological reflection, students acquire knowledge of the origins and forms of major social institutions and structures.
Elective Module 3: Life World, Life Forms: Individual and Society 2 (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of the compulsory module according to § 5 Para 2 No 7
Learning Outcome: Students should acquire insights into the complex ad narrow relationships between theory-building and qualitative research in the area of cultural sociology in general and in selected core areas in particular. Students enhance their understanding of cultural sociology with the help of ethnographical studies and theoretical and methodological reflection.
Elective Module 4: Rural and Regional Sociology 2 (10 ECTS-AP, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of the compulsory module according to § 5 Para 2 No 8
Learning Outcome: Students acquire enhanced knowledge of the effects of social change on identities, actions and relationships between relevant stakeholder groups and actors. With the help of concrete examples students acquire enhanced knowledge of selected issues and concrete areas of application together with rural and regional sociological issues.
