Module 1: Epistemology III (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 6
Learning Outcome: Enhanced knowledge of selected problem issues and theories of epistemology and epistemological theories; the competence to question these autonomously and to develop further; the ability to produce relationships between epistemology and other philosophical sub-disciplines as well as non-philosophical disciplines, and to estimate the practical usability of philosophical findings; awareness of intercultural similarities and differences between our philosophical ways of thinking.
Module 2: Ethics III (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 7
Learning Outcome: Enhanced knowledge of selected problem issues and theories of ethics; the competence to question these autonomously and to develop further; the ability to produce relationships between ethics and other philosophical sub-disciplines as well as non-philosophical disciplines, and to estimate the practical usability of philosophical findings; awareness of intercultural similarities and differences between our philosophical ways of thinking.
Module 6: Philosophy of Science (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)

Learning Outcome: Knowledge of concepts, methods, problems and theories of the philosophy of science; ability to analyse these contents, to relate them to each other and to question autonomously and to develop further.
Module 7: Aesthetics and the Philosophy of Art (7.5 ECT-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the concepts, methods, issues and theories of Aesthetics and the philosophy of art, the ability to analyse their contents, to link them together in a relationship, and to question autonomously and to develop further.
Module 8: Political Philosophy and Philosophy of Law (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the concepts, methods, issues and theories of the philosophy of politics and of law, the ability to analyse these topics and to put them together in a relationship and to autonomously question and develop further.

Module 13: Introduction to Women and Gender Studies (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students acquire a basic knowledge of current Women's and Gender Research as well as an overview of the basic findings of critical Gender Research.
