Learning Outcome: Students understand higher mathematics and can apply the mathematical methods to problems of physical science and chemistry. They have mastered the basics concepts of physics and understand the basic principles of the way of thinking physics.
Module 6: Inorganic Chemistry A (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of the most important classes of chemical materials and basic concepts of inorganic chemistry and they know the uses of inorganic materials in the environment and technology.
Module 7: Organic Chemistry A (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of the theoretical basics and of the structure and reactivity of organic materials.
Module 8: Inorganic Chemistry B (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 10 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: With respect to the teaching content of inorganic chemistry the students learn experimental knowledge in the identification and qualitative analysis of inorganic salts and metals. Students acquire key interdisciplinary competencies such as teamwork and communication skills both oral and written.
Module 9: Analytical Chemistry B (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of the fundamentals of electroanalysis and of atomspectroscopy ad can use chemometric data analysis processes in analytical chemistry
Module 15: Biochemistry B (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of module 13
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge of anabolism, the coordination of the metabolism the basics of molecular genetics, of gene technology and of the biochemical bases of complex biochemical processes
Module 16: Physical Chemistry B (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students understand the mathematical, physical and theory of knowledge foundations of quantum mechanics and also master the application of simpler quantum chemical calculations.
Module 17: Theoretical Chemistry A (2.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students understand the basics of theoretical chemistry and of computer chemistry.
Module 18: Physical Chemistry C (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 7 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of modules 1, 5, 12
Learning Outcome: Students master basic experimental methods of physical chemistry. In the module Physical Chemistry Practice I they acquire key inter-disciplinary competences in teamwork and in communication skills both oral and written.
Module 27: Theoretical Chemistry C (2.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of modules 17, 26
Learning Outcome: Students learn the practical application of the most important methods of theoretical chemistry; they also aquire key inter-disciplinary skills like teamwork as well as oral and written communication skills.
Module 28: Physical Chemistry E (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students understand qualitative and quantitative real thermodynamic systems and know the concepts of statistical thermodynamics.
Module 29: Organic Chemistry E (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 10 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of module 19
Learning Outcome: Students learn the synthesis and characterisation or organic compounds. The students acquire key inter-disciplinary competences as team workers, together with oral and written language skills.
