Module 6: Introduction to Research Fields and Positions in European Ethnology (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students can identify the research subjects of European Ethnology and are qualified to order them from an historical subject perspective; students can develop specific European ethnological issues; they can understand the main concepts and theoretical approaches and they can represent these.
Module 7: Methods and Approaches of European Ethnology (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Systematic acquisition of methodological findings, overview of some genre types and their position within cultural analysis; competence in critical discussion of an ethnography as a precondition for cultural analysis, self-management, and organizational skills.
Module 8: Positions in Culture Theory and Cultural Studies (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Knowledge of basic cultural theoretical positions, historical science, positioning of main categories of perception, training of a cultural studies problem awareness.
Module 9: Interculturality (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the main aim of methodological terms of intercultural research; the ability to make the main methodological and theoretical concepts of interculturality research fruitful for at least one area of interculturality research; an example of enhancement and reflection of intercultural research efforts including gender theoretical aspects.
