Learning Outcome: Understanding of canonisation, interaction between literatures and problems of literary translation.
Module 17: Literary Analysis and Interpretation (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Reflective methodological treatment of literary texts and creation of a well-founded understanding of text with significant examples.
Module 18: History of German Literature (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 1 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 17.
Learning Outcome: Understanding of links between literature and history as exemplified by Goethe¿s time; overcoming difficulties of reading pre 1945 texts, familiarity with canonisation, knowledge of sources, from the history of literature.
Module 19: Literature and Literary Life (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 17.
Learning Outcome: The ability to analyse deeply questions of literary science e.g. interpretation, the theoretical analyses of genres, problems of literary history, literary sociology etc. The ability to represent in a longer piece of writing a coherent version that respects academic norms.
Module 20: Earlier History of Literature (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Impartation of basic knowledge on literary life in the Middle Ages with reference to its otherness and a sharper view of traditions and innovations in the development of literature.
Module 21: Fundamentals of Literary Conveyance (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 17.
Learning Outcome: Familiarity with the processes of the spread of literature, also with reference to a professional qualification.
Module 22: Fields of Literary Conveyance (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory modules 7, 18 and 23.
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the processes by which literature is spread in theory and practice through the action of one or more of its fields of interest.
