Compulsory Module 1: Business Information Systems (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students gain an overview of business information systems and their central components and acquire a sound knowledge of how business information
systems are designed, embedded and implemented in organizations.
Compulsory Module 2: Information, Communication and Knowledge Management (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2.1).
Learning Outcome: Students obtain an overview of information, communication and knowledge management. They have a sound knowledge concerning strategies and the planning, design, introduction and management of information, communication and knowledge as well as information systems and information infrastructure. They know how these systems are embedded and implemented in enterprises and organizations.
Compulsory Module 3: Design of Information Systems along the Value Chain (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2.1).
Learning Outcome: Students understand and reflect on information systems used for planning, controlling, and organizing value-adding processes as well as methods of
designing such information Systems.
Compulsory Module 4: Business Process Management (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2.1).
Learning Outcome: Students acquire a sound knowledge of business process management, enabling them to observe an enterprise from the process perspective, to understand process management projects, and - additionally - to apply instruments of Business process management.
Compulsory Module 5: IT Project Management (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2.1).
Learning Outcome: Students will acquire a sound knowledge of IT project management, enabling them to plan and implement IT project methods and models independently.
Compulsory Module 6: Methods in Information Systems (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2.1).
Learning Outcome: Students understand and reflect on current methods and theories of information systems.
Compulsory Module 7: Research Colloquium for Master Thesis (5 ECTS-Credits, 1 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of the courses referred to in § 7 (1 and 2) as well as § 8.
Learning Outcome: Having completed the research colloquium, students are able to create the concept of a scientific study, to write it, and to present research results in different contexts.
