Learning Outcome: Students can differentiate and characterise the full spectrum of institutions (from nursery school through the education of working class women to informal learning at the workplace) and the processes by which education and upbringing occur today.

Module 8: Foundations of Educational Science: Concepts and Subject Areas I (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 4
Learning Outcome: Students can discuss "Bildung" and "Erziehung" from cultural micro and macro perspectives. They are able to summarise a wide range of teaching and learning settings and to differentiate between the key competencies that stimulate active participation in all areas of life.
Module 9: Foundations of Educational Science: Concepts and Subject Areas II (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 4
Learning Outcome: Students are able to present theories and usable forms of pyschoanalysis and pedagogy and to differentiate between some special links between psychoanalysis and pedagogy in theory and practice.
Module 10: Foundations of Educational Science: Concepts and Subject Areas III (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students understand the historical, political, social and cultural conditions of gender relationships, orders and differences and are able to present and to explain scientific gender in such a way that it shows evidence of professional treatment.

Learning Outcome: Students understand how to conceptualise disability as a product of social discourses which are linked with historically developed values, norms, symbols and institutions; they can also develop professional accompanying and support strategies in inclusive settings.
Module 14: Foundations of Educational Science: Concepts and Subject Areas V (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students understand pedagogical media concepts and are able to apply practical media competencies.
Module 15: Foundations of Educational Science: Concepts and Subject Areas VI (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students are able to recognise and explain the historical, political, and cultural conditions in the construction of difference and dominance relations in the migration society and are able to work out concrete solutions from a migration society perspective.
Module 16: Research Methods of Educational Science (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 4
Learning Outcome: Students possess enhanced knowledge of qualitative and quantative methods
Module 17: Communication and Action Skills III (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 to 6, 12 and 16
Learning Outcome: Students can explain and demonstrate action skills in the pyscho-social field and know the possibilities and obstacles of action models.
Note: the bacheor thesis itself comprises 10 ECTS-Credits
Module 18: Research Practice: Bachelor Thesis (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 to 7, 16, and either 17 or 20 or 21.
Learning Outcome: Students are able to write a bachelor thesis using the theories and methods of educational science.
After the allocation of free places, the module "Non-Disciplinary Skills" makes possible the completion of teaching units from other Bachelor Study Programmes and from teaching units for students of all faculties.
Module 19: Non-disciplinary Skills (10 ECTS-Credits)

Learning Outcome: Students are able to see beyond the limits of their own discipline and to enter constructively into inter-disciplinary discussions.
Module 20: Foundations of Educational Science: In-depth Study I (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of modules 1 to 7 and 16.
Learning Outcome: Students are able to work scientfically on an issue selected from an appropriate area.
Module 21: Foundations of Educational Science: In-depth Study II (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
