Elective Module 1: Interdisciplinary/Non-Disciplinary Skills (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: The prerequisites specified by the respective curricula must be met.
Learning Outcome: This module aims at expansion of the study programme and acquiring of additional qualifications.
Courses corresponding to 10 ECTS-Credits and providing to availability of
places can be freely chosen from the curricula of the master and/or diploma
programmes at the University of Innsbruck.
Elective Module 2: Internship (10 ECTS-Credits)

Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students can apply the knowledge and skills gained in the study programme in practice. Having
completed this module students know about the conditions in the professional and/or
scientific world.
Students pass an internship corresponding to 240 hours to test and apply
their acquired knowledge and skills, to learn about the world of work and
to get additional qualifications. This internship can be passed during the
lecture-free period, namely in institutions in which experts in the sense of
§1 para. 3 (Qualification Profile) are at work (e.g. educational institutions,
media, private economy, NGOs and non-profit organisations, in public
administration, in international organisations, in institutions in the area of
migration and integration, in social, cultural, economic, development and
equality politics). Before starting the practical experience it must be approved
by the Director of Studies. Duration, extent and contents of the
tasks must be confirmed by the institution. Moreover, a detailed and critical
report on the work experience against the background of the
knowledge acquired during the Master's Programme European Ethnology
must be written.Notes:
