Module 2: History of Language (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory modules 2, 10 and 12.
Learning Outcome: Awareness of the diachronical aspect of linguistic description, Example of an engagement with individual periods or phenomena of language history; acquisition of fundamental knowledge of current tendencies towards language change and the underlying principles thereover.
Module 3: Applied Linguistics (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory modules 2, 10 and 12.
Learning Outcome: Knowledge in a special area in applied linguistic (beginning with German) practical usage of this knowledge to prepare for communicative and language oriented professional activities.
