Compulsory Module 4: Subject Didactics (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of the Compulsory Modules 1, 2 and 3
Learning Outcome: Competence to present and reflect main subject-didactical contents, theories, development perspectives and application fields; fundamental knowledge of language didactics
Compulsory Module 5: Modern German Literature (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of Compulsory Module 2
Learning Outcome: Students are able to name interrelations of literary and cultural history with the example of representative authors, works and genres. They are able to describe the processes of canonisation. They can outline the interactions developments in society, literature and cultural history (e.g. gender-specific developments) and are able to independently Analyse and interpret literary texts based on scientific standards.
Compulsory Module 7: Studying Literature in Schools (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of Compulsory Module 7
Learning Outcome: Skills to define and apply transfer possibilities of literature in German lessons; competence to prepare, modify and reflect contemporary literature teaching
Compulsory Module 10: Linguistics in Education (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of Compulsory Module 6
Learning Outcome: Skills to present and explain connections between language and cognition, language and society and thus another skill of linguistic variation and variability (social, medial, spatial, temporal); competence in using language varieties and multilingualism; skills to independent analysis of linguistic processes, expression forms and competences, also under the aspect of their development; skills of application in the classroom
Compulsory Module 11: Teaching German (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of the Compulsory Modules 4, 8 and 9
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of course catalogues and competence guidelines, evaluation criteria and grids for teaching German; competence to reflect reading and writing processes of pupils in their development; gaining safety in writing arrangements (and corresponding learning possibilities); knowledge of current studies of reading behaviour of children and youths, skills to promote reading and writing competences and reading motivation as well as the diagnosis of reading and writing weaknesses and appropriate compensation strategies
Compulsory Module 13: Advanced Topics in Teaching German (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of Compulsory Module 11
Learning Outcome: Skills to process and critically reflect the research level of subject didactics; competence in the application of knowledge to a concrete subject-didactical issue; subject-related diagnosis and promotion competence; skills to write consistent scientific standardized presentation of the achieved results within a seminar work
Compulsory Module 16: Subject Related Practical Course (5 ECTS-Credits, 1 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of the Compulsory Modules 13 and 14
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of teaching observation, analysis and evaluation as well as planning and implementation of teaching units concerning learning group specifics (with regard to age, gender, social and cultural backgrounds); reflection of own and foreign teaching performance; competence to recognize, analyse and modify subject-didactical issues in terms of the current scientific discussion under supervision
Compulsory Module 17: Bachelor's Thesis (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 1 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of Compulsory Module 14
Learning Outcome: The graduates are able to apply theoretical and methodical instruments of German to a special topic
