Courses
Elective Module -A1: Industrial Mechatronic and Building Material Sciences (7.5 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module A1.
Learning Outcome: Students are able to equip complex machine construction plans with a suitable automation system. This requires in particular the ability to choose suitable components like sensors, actuators, process calculators, bus systems, etc. In addition, they possess the ability to network these components and to develop control and regulations software. Students have in-depth knowledge of methods for the simulation of manufacturing and damage processes in building materials as well as advanced knowledge of their hierarchal structure of building materials and of the possibilities of characterisation and optimisation. They have mastered the theoretical bases of numerical problem methods and are equipped to apply these for the solutions of problems of building materials technology. Students possess the competence to document their experience of a subject-relevant practical in a written report and to present the same in the context of a seminar plenum. They possess in-depth knowledge of various robot systems and are able to apply the kinematic fundamentals to practical problem issues. Students are equipped to estimate the competence, strength and deformations of structures as a result of dynamic pressures, and building on this they can carry out the dimensioning of structures and can show their usability and load-bearing capacity.
