Elective Module 2: Inter-facultary or Inter-universitary Discipline-specific Networks (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: In an inter-faculty and/or inter-university context, students present, reflect on, and analyze preliminary results of the dissertation and critically reflect on and analyze the research results of other doctoral students.
Elective Module 3: Research Course (10 ECTS-Credits, 8h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Self-organized learning: Under didactic guidance and by consulting experts and their written opinions, students approach specific architectural questions by means of scientific methods. They possess the specialized skills and working techniques, including synthesizing and evaluating, necessary for solving central issues of their own original research and for defining existing knowledge anew.
Elective Module 4: Presentation of Own Research Results (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: After the successful completion of this module, students are able to present research results in national or international forums, to analyze and critically assess their own research performance and that of others, and to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their research. Students acquire didactic skills which put them in a position to clearly present their research results to experts and to explain complicated correlations in a clearly understandable manner.
Elective Module 5: Reflection on Research II (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 2
Learning Outcome: Skills to plan research projects, including a written presentation; reflected knowledge and prospectus of the student's dissertation.
Elective Module 6: Architectural Practice (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students apply their scientific competences in a professional context and, after having completed the module, possess the knowledge and skills necessary to orient themselves along the requirements of occupational scientific practice.
