Compulsory Module 1: Introduction to the Classica et Orientalia Study Programme (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Gaining an overview of the research traditions and characteristics of Ancient History, Ancient Near Eastern Philology and History, Classical Philology and Near Eastern Archaeology; gaining basic knowledge of scientific working, in speaking and writing and gaining of communicative and performative skills;
Compulsory Module 2: Antiquity at a Glance (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Getting an overview of Antiquity based on central issues and guidelines in special consideration of the political and social conditions and the gender aspect.
Compulsory Module 3: Fundamentals of Ancient Oriental Studies (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a wide basic theoretical knowledge to understand general issues of the Near East with relation to archaeology, philology and also cross-disciplinary.
Compulsory Module 4: Fundamentals of Classical Archaeology and Classical Philology (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of a wide basic theoretical knowledge to understand general issues of the Greco-Roman Antiquity with regards to archaeology, philology and also cross-disciplinary.
Compulsory Module 5: Society and Culture (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of basic knowledge for structuring short-term and long-term processes and correlations of events as well as knowledge on reflexive analysis for generating historic knowledge including questions on issues and methods used in the field of ancient history.
Compulsory Module 6: Interdisciplinary Skills (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: The requirements specified by the respective curricula must be met.
Learning Outcome: Expansion of the study programme and acquiring of additional qualifications.
Providing the availability of places, courses corresponding to 10 ECTS- Credits can be freely chosen from the curricula of the Bachelor or Diploma progammes at the University of Innsbruck.Notes:
