Compulsory Module 1: Introduction to Theology and Philosophy (10 ECTS-Credits, 12 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Initial familiarity with the specifics of philosophical-theological thinking and, working together, with the beginning of the development of the ability to integrate Biblical and Church theory and scientific reflection with day-to-day human existence and behaviour The ability to work autonomously with the techniques and methods of the individual philosophical disciplines and to grasp the way individual subjects and subject groups integrate together; development of an awareness of philosophical issues and of the ability to apply suitable scientific methods and the beginning of reflection on these challenges in appropriate sociological contexts; the ability to integrate such questions with the totality of contemporary ways of seeing the world and its phenomena.
Compulsory Module 2: Biblical Hebrew (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Basic knowledge of Hebraic script and language: the ability to translate from the Bible a simple text alone but with the help of relevant aids.
Compulsory Module 3: Philosophy I (10 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)

Learning Outcome: A basic knowledge of philosophy with the main emphasis on topics of practical and theoretical philosophy.
Compulsory Module 4: Philosophy II (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 9 h)

Learning Outcome: A basic knowledge of historical-systematic philosophy with the emphasis on the history of philosophy and of religion and religious topics.
Compulsory Module 5: Foundation of Exegesis I (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Basic knowledge of the origins of textual history, inherited history and canon history as well as the structure and content of certain scripts and groups of scripts of the Old and New Testaments and initial access to their main ideological predictions connected to an understanding of their literary and compository uniqueness and the start of the ability to apply exegetical text examples.
Compulsory Module 6: Foundation of Exegesis II (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Basic knowledge of the environments of the Old and New Testaments and of the contemporary religious background conditions. The development and content of particular writings and groups of writings of the Old and New Testaments and initial access to their main theological statements linked to an understanding of their literary and writing uniqueness and the beginnings of the proper application of exegical methods with the use of textual examples.
Compulsory Module 7: Systematic Theology I (10 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Recognition of the healing powers of the person of Jesus Christ, knowledge of the transcendance of man in his relation to God and in their cultural and social representations as the basis of a redeemed life and behaviour in succession to Christ.
Compulsory Module 8: Systematic Theology II (7.5 ECTS-AP, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of how, in the context of the current dramatic world situation, the Church sees itself and its significance as healer; knowledge of the ethical dimension of relationships and the for judgment capacity of spiritual experiences on the basics of Christian beliefs.
Compulsory Module 9: Systematic Theology III (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the systematic foundation of the relationship between the Church and the world after the dogma and social teachings of the Church in its efforts to get to grips with the problems, tensions and issues of the modern world.
Compulsory Module 10: Historical Theology I (10 ECTS-Credits, 7 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Insights into the most important identity-forming powers in the formative phase of the Church at the time of the particular spread of Latin Christianity; insights into the liturgy and the theology of the central mysteries of the Church.
Compulsory Module 11: Historical Theology II (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Insights into the time of the development of the Western confessional Churches and the most important formative powers of the Roman Catholic Church of the Modern Era and the Present as well as in the main problems of the modern ecumenical dialogue, insights into the Modern Age and the Present and into the natural rhythms that surround the celebrations of the service to God.
Compulsory Module 12: Practical Theology I (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Insights into the basic issues and criteria of practical theology and its subjects. The acquisition of a fundamental ability to transfer from theological insights and concepts into concrete pastoral fields, whether of a pastoral-catechismical nature or connected with the legal position of the Church.
Compulsory Module 13: Practical Theology II (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: The ability to deal with pastoral-theological questions and action perspectives as well as with the legal position of the Church on marriage rights in view of the pluralist and multicultural reality of life.
Compulsory Module 14: Biblical Theology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Bringing together the over-riding theological themes and issues which run like a thread throughout the Bible. The ability to work through and systematically bring together the main points and matters of theological emphasis that run throughout the Bible from book to book.
Compulsory Module 15: Systematic Theology and Theory of Knowledge (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Understanding of the connections between problem-solving from the theory of science and special topics in dogmatics, fundamental and moral theology, especially enhanced knowledge of a full theological draft from a dogmatic point of view, learning the skill of argumentation on a gender-rights issue to meet inter-religious argumentation with a knowledge of the various ways a theory of religion may be represented.
Compulsory Module 16: Theology and Sacramental Law (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Enhanced knowlege of the Christ-centred, ecclesiastical and anthropological basis of their sacraments, of the sign characters and legal aspects.
Compulsory Module 17: Epistemology and Philosophy of Science (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Argumentative competence on questions regarding the theory of theological knowledge and teaching of science with particular attention paid to the unique nature of theological knowledge or rather to theology as a science.
Compulsory Module 18: Historical Theology and Missionology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 1 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Insights into the problems of the clash between Christian beliefs and the various cultures of the world. Basic understanding of theology-ordinated official dom.
