Module 5A: In-Depth Study of Ancient Near East Languages (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of elective modules 6 and 7
Learning Outcome: Building on the basic knowledge, students enhance their language competence of Sumerian and Akkadian up to a level which enables them to work scientifically with texts of these languages; in particular they will be in a position to recognise language-linguistic problems of Sumerian and Akkadian and to find solutions, to judge the texts critically with regard their content, to present the results in scientific form and to prepare themselves thoroughly with various media.
