Compulsory Module 9: Mathematics and Informatics 3 (12 ECTS-Credits, 9 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge of the basic concepts, methods and tools for Software-Design and Software-Engineering; they are familiar with the methods of numerical mathematics and of statistics, they possess the competence to apply these basics and concepts to solve problems and for development tasks.
Compulsory Module 14: Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering 5 (9 ECTS-Credits, 6 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge of the basic concepts, building parts, action principles or mechanical-electrical connections in drive and control and energy technology and can implement these in practice.
Compulsory Module 15: Mathematics and Informatics 5 (9 ECTS-Credits, 6 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students can use the methods of higher analysis, linear algebra and numerics for the solution of practical problems; they are familiar with the theoretical basis of informatics and possess the competence for the abstract analysis and development of algorithms. Students are familiar with the theoretical basis of informatics and are competent to analyse and develop algorithms.
Compulsory Module 16: Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering 5 (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 6 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are familiar with the various varieties of machine tools and their areas of application; they are able to set up NC Programmes and to implement them on a machine tool. Students possess in-depth knowledge from mechatronical system sketches to the computer-assisted assembly of mechanical or mechatronic system components.
Compulsory Module-A1: Industrial Mechatronics and Material Science (4.5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess advanced knowledge of the structure and workings of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and drives and are able to interpret and to build suitable solutions for drive and automation systems.
Compulsory Module-A2: Biomedical Engineering (4.5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are familiar with the theoretical basis of finite elements and can implement numerical solutions for mechatronic problems; they are able to estimate accurately the application possibilities and limits of this procedure for practical use.
