Compulsory Modules (152.5 ECTS-Credits)
Students must do two Bachelor Theses in the framework of a teaching unit with continuous assessment from two different compulsory modules of compulsory modules 4 to 15 and 17 to 19.

Compulsory Module 5: Hermeneutics and Theory of Knowledge and Science (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Overview of the most important scientific/theoretical movements and developments; knowledge of the conditions, possibilities and limits of scientific findings; knowledge of the conditions and norms of understanding, trusting with various scientific methods and the improvement in the ability to work on interdisciplinary affairs.
Compulsory Module 6: Issues between Philosophy and Natural Sciences (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Philosophy/historical and systematic basic knowledge of natural philosophy and findings from the border areas of natural science which are important for today's understanding of natural philosophy.
Compulsory Module 8: Systematics of Christian Thinking (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Ability to work out a rational orientation for the theory and practice of the encounter with themes and problems that go back to biblical revelation; the relationship between reason and faith.
Compulsory Module 10: Metaphysics (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 2 (Foundations: Logic - Metaphysics - Philosophical Anthropology - Ethics).
Learning Outcome: Ability to take part in in-depth debates whose basic topics are classical and present-day metaphysics; understanding of the problems regarding the key methodological and content-related questions of metaphysics.
Compulsory Module 11: Philosophical Theology - Philosophy of Religion (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 3 (Foundations: Psychological Anthropology - History of Philosophy - Theology).
Learning Outcome: Enhanced knowledge of classical philosophical theology and of the current form of religious philosophy with regard to today's religious philosophical issues.
Compulsory Module 12: Philosophical Anthropology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 2 (Foundations: Logic - Metaphysics - Philosophical Anthropology - Ethics).
Learning Outcome: Knowledge and competence for a critical encounter with traditional and current interpretations of human beings.
Compulsory Module 13: Philosophical Ethics (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 2 (Foundations: Logic - Metaphysics - Philosophical Anthropology - Ethics).
Learning Outcome: Understanding of and competence in a critical examination of philosophical texts about ethics from the past and the present; a competent encounter with questions of applied ethics.
Compulsory Module 15: Logic and Philosophy of Communication (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 2 (Foundations: Logic - Metaphysics - Philosophical Anthropology - Ethics).
Learning Outcome: Ability to take part in enhancing encounters with questions of logic and the philosophy of language.
