Compulsory Module 1: Fundamentals of Natural Sciences (6 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students can understand the natural science basics of chemistry and physics and can transfer them to their application in mechatronics.
Compulsory Module 2: Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering 1 (6 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess advanced knowledge of the electrotechnical basics and dimensions, their qualities and relationships.
Compulsory Module 3: Mathematics and Informatics 1 (11 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are familiar with the basics of mathematics and informatics for an engineering science study programme (linear algebra, differential and integral calculations, digital information processing and the way computers function); they are suitably qualified for the competent application of these disciplines to solve practical problems.
Compulsory Module 4: Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering 1 (7 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess advanced knowledge of the origins of material qualities and of the relationship between qualities and material construction and of material construction and atomic relationships and those with nuclear compounds. The students are familiar with the concepts of the mechanics of fixed and fluid bodies illustrated in unity. They are able to apply the principles in mechanics to fundamental model problems of statics and they are qualified to develop purpose built computer-suitable formulae and computer modules.
