Module 1: Specific Methods and Issues in Basic Psychological Research (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 5.
Learning Outcome: In selected areas students possess enhanced knowledge of special problem issues of basic psychological research. This comprises knowledge of the relevant survey paradigms, theoretical concepts and the result findings of basic scientific research. They are able to apply the special methods of basic research and to use the acquired knowledge for the development of their own problem areas as well as for its practical use.
Module 2: Current Issues in Basic Psychological Research I (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 5.
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess enhanced knowledge of the latest developments in the subject and they can examine critically the innovative content of diverse developments and can understand their relations in the history of the subject. They are equipped to analyse critically research findings from the perspective of gender research. They can develop problem issues and survey hypotheses that lead them further.
Module 3: Current Issues in Basic Psychological Research II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 5.
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess enhanced knowledge of the latest developments in their subject; they can test critically the innovative content of these developments and understand the relations in the history of the subject and develop problem issues and survey hypotheses further.
Module 4: Specific Research Methods in Clinical Psychology (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 6.
Learning Outcome: Students can apply practically special research methods of clinical psychology. They can use these methods in their own surveys.
Module 5: Special issues of Intervention and Therapy Research (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 6.
Learning Outcome: In line with the current state of research, students can reflect critically on a clinical or psychotherapeutical procedure. From the current perspective of psychotherapeutical research they can analyse critically research findings. The completion of the module enables them to develop problem issues and survey hypotheses further.
Module 6: Advanced Clinical Training (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 6.
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge of selected fields of practice, they know the latest developments in their subject and they can examine critically the innovative contents of various developments in clinical psychology and can understand the inter-disciplinary nature of their relations. They can discuss critically the research findings and techniques of applied clinical psychology and develop further problem issues and survey hypotheses.
Module 7: Advanced Training in Work and Organisational Psychology (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 8.
Learning Outcome: After completion of this module, students possess well-founded competences in the content and methods of industrial and organisational developments. In addition they can also show basic subject-related ethical competences. Together with the syllabus of compulsory module 8, this enables them to recognise and analyse psychologically the needs and problem situations of an organisation and to lead corresponding advisory intervention measures.
Module 8: Advanced Training in Applied Psychology (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 8.
Learning Outcome: After completion of this module, students possess well-founded core and methodological competences in one or more areas of the subject. In addition, they also show social, communicative and subject-related basic ethical competences; this enables them, together with the syllabus of compulsory module 9, to recognise on their own corresponding needs and problem situations in the occupational fields of such subject areas; they can also analyse the above psychologically and lead appropriate advisory and interventional measures.
Module 9: Advanced Work and Organisational Psychology II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)

Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 8.
Learning Outcome: After completion of this module, students possess well-founded core and methodological competences in one or more areas of the subject. In addition, they also show social, communicative and subject-related basic ethical competences; this enables them, together with the syllabus of compulsory module 9, to recognise on their own corresponding needs and problem situations in the occupational fields of such subject areas; they can also analyse the above psychologically and lead appropriate advisory and interventional measures.
