Compulsory Module 1: Introduction (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of basic knowledge of the scientific nature of the subject (theories, methods); key qualifications for successfully passing introductory seminars and seminars; acquisition of communicative and performative skills; knowledge of and practical use of subject-specific methods of working, as well as the basic principles of scientific working; critical reflection of questions and research results in historical sciences and their contexts with regards to society, politics and culture.

Compulsory Module 3: Fundamentals of the Middle Ages (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Compulsory Module 4: Fundamentals of the History of Modern Times (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Compulsory Module 5: Fundamentals of Economic and Social History (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Compulsory Module 6: Fundamentals of Austrian History (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Compulsory Module 7: Fundamentals of Contemporary History (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Learning Outcome: Acquisition of an overall contextual knowledge of Contemporary History based on key questions and aspects.
Compulsory Module 8: Reflections (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Understanding of questions relating to the philosophy of science through reading and discussing suitable classical or innovative texts of historiography resp., knowledge of developments in research and criticism of paradigms.
Compulsory Module 9: Historical Excursion (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of knowledge on the different forms of historic display and the skills to present historic relations on site and to deconstruct display formats.
Compulsory Module 10: Applied Sources (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Acquisition of skills for dealing with historic sources and studies critically, as well as the competence to present the newly-gained knowledge verbally and/or in writing; Acquisition of the competence to apply methods of auxiliary sciences.

Compulsory Module 11: Interdisciplinary Skills (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: The requirements specified by the respective curricula must be met.
Learning Outcome: Expansion of the study programme and acquiring of additional qualifications.
Providing the availability of places, courses corresponding to 10 ECTS- Credits can be freely chosen from the curricula of the Bachelor and/or Diploma programmes at the University of Innsbruck.
