Compulsory Module 1: Philosophy and Religious Studies (12.5 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: The ability to reflect deeply on ethical matters and on the nature of man presented in the mainstream of present-day psychology; the ability for autonomous and critical analysis of the historical and contemporary picture and form of life and the claims made by selected religions from a religious studies point of view.
Compulsory Module 2: Exegesis of the Old Testament (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 2 of the first part of the study programme.
Learning Outcome: Enhance and spread of the basic knowledge acquired in the introduction and basic exegesis of the Old Testament and in the Bible-inspired knowledge of the historical-theological pro-seminar and in the exegical work of the Old Testament: the ability to work independently through Old Testament texts by using the subject-relevant methodology and the assistance of suitable commentaries and secondary literature.

Learning Outcome: Exemplary work with sources from the Church and the history of the liturgy; insights in the problematics of the papacy (the historic development and ecumenical problems); enhanced insight into the discussion of true and false beliefs and to the current chances of agreement on faith.

Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the pastoral-theological, Church law and moral-theological suggestions, norms and values for a communicative-theology in the sense of the Second Vatican Council, of the basic elements of community theology and the legal structure of the Church as God's People as well as the mediation of soul in the service of the Sacrament of Forgiveness.
