Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 13.

Learning Outcome: Through the two proseminars of the module "Applied Linguistics and Pragmatics", the students are familiar with content like language as social action (pragmatics), social factors of language usage (sociolinguistics) and specific languages, comparative linguistics. Through proseminars as a teaching unit they have acquired competences in autonomous academic work and in lecturing and presentation techniques.
