Courses



Es sind Wahlmodule im Umfang von insgesamt 60 ECTS-AP wie folgt zu absolvieren. 1. Es sind 10 ECTS-AP durch Absolvierung des Wahlmoduls 1 oder 2 (zweite slawische Sprache) und 20 ECTS-AP durch Absolvierung der Wahlmodule 3 und 5 (Literatur-/Kulturwissenschaft) oder durch Absolvierung der Wahlmodule 7 und 9 (Sprachwissenschaft) zu erwerben. 2. Weitere 30 ECTS-AP sind entweder a. in Form einer Ergänzung nach Maßgabe freier Plätze. Ergänzungen sind festgelegte Module aus anderen Curricula im Umfang von 30 ECTS-AP. Sie werden im Mitteilungsblatt der Universität Innsbruck verlautbart. oder b. aus den Wahlmodulen 11 bis 16 oder c. in Form einer Vertiefung zu absolvieren. 3. Es stehen die Vertiefungen "Slawische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft" und "Slawische Sprachwissenschaft" zur Auswahl. Wenn eine Vertiefung gewählt wird, ist die Masterarbeit aus dem Themenbereich der gewählten Vertiefung zu schreiben. a. Durch Absolvierung der Wahlmodule 4, 6 und 11 kann die Vertiefung "Slawische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft" erworben werden. b. Durch Absolvierung der Wahlmodule 8, 10 und 11 kann die Vertiefung "Slawische Sprachwissenschaft" erworben werden.

Elective Module 1: Command of Language: Second Slavonic Language Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Advancing of language-practical skills, which enable well-founded text work from analysis to production. Acquisition of knowledge about regional, social and situational language variants and its use in concrete discourse. Developing language-reflective competences for analysing the links between language on the one hand and culture, society and history on the other. Target level: B1 of CEFR
Elective Module 2: Command of Language: Second Slavonic Language Polish (10 ETCS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none

Learning Outcome: Competence to independently develop, analyse, present and develop complex, subject-related, methodical and theoretical interrelationships and issues. There must be a clear thematic difference to elective module 3.
Elective Module 6: Culture and Media 1 (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students acquire specialised knowledge in cultural and media theories, cultural philoso-phy, aesthetics, theory and history of film as well as in Russian or East-European cul-tural history resp. They specialize their knowledge on the working of different areas of the cultural industry (literary events, publishing and exhibitions, theatre, opera, ballet, performance, cinema and film festivals, media). There must be a clear thematic differ-ence to elective module 5.
Elective Module 8: Slavonic Linguistics 1 (10 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Specialised knowledge of theories and methods as well as their independent application on Slavonic language material; criteria for the classification and critical evaluation of the studies and theories. ). There must be a clear thematic difference to elective module 7.
Elective Module 9: Research Seminar Slavonic Linguistics (10 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)

Elective Module 11: Command of Russian Language (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Expansion of the competence to analyse traditional text types and new media; advanced insight into linguistic developments and phenomena; knowledge of the relationship be-tween language and style; advanced knowledge of the field of Russian literature and media landscape. Particular attention is paid to the development of discourse skills. Target level: C1 of CEFR
Elective Module 13: Practice I (5 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a professional environment ac-cording to §2 par. 3. Having completed this module, the students are familiar with the conditions of the professional and/or scientific practice.
To test and apply the acquired knowledge and competences or to orientate on the conditions of the professional practice and to acquire additional qualifications, students of the Master's Programme in Slavonic Studies can pass an internship covering 5 ECTS-Credits (or 120 hours resp.) The practice can be also made during the lecture-free period. Before starting the internship, it must be approved by the Director of Studies. The duration, scope and contents of the work done must be confirmed by the institution in writing and presented. A report on the internship must be written. Elective modules 13 (Practice I) and 14 (Practice II) can be passed in the same institution. This corresponds to a scope of 15 ECTS-Credits (or 360 hours).
Elective Module 14: Practice II (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a professional environment ac-cording to §2 par. 3. Having completed this module, the students are familiar with the conditions of the professional and/or scientific practice.

Elective Module 15: Individual Choice of Specialisation (20 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: The prerequisites specified in the respective curricula must be met.
For individual specialisation modules corresponding to a maximum of 20 ECTS-Credits can be freely chosen from the Master¿s Programmes offered at the University of Inns-bruck.
