Elective Module 1: Religions in History and Present (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)

Learning Outcome: The ability to critically justify the meaning of religions in society and the transmission of inter-religious competence in the common pursuit of integrational and peace-promoting steps forward.
Elective Module 2: Catechetics/Pedagogics (5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)

Learning Outcome: The ability to reflect on previous learning experiences: insights in various forms of teaching and learning and taking on conceptual perspectives; reflection on one's own religious development and that of others from a theological-kairological perspective.
Elective Module 3: Basics of Didactics of Religion (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Taking critical note of and the practical ability to differentiate between the concepts, criteria and reasons for the complex and gender-sensitive reality of teaching and learning in the contexts of school, adult education and community; discussion of the "Innsbruck Model" of religious education as the basis of religious-didactical action in various fields
Elective Module 4: Weltanschauung and Dialogue: Philosophical and Theological Issues in Interdisciplinary Dialogue (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Developing the ability to participate in critical philosophical dialogues with particular stress on an understanding of the unique nature of the rationality of world views from the general and religious perspectives.
Elective Module 5: Current Issues of Pastoral Care and Education (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Recognition of current challenges in pastoral work and in the Church's educational work from a Church law and pastoral perspective: adoption of the basic competences needed by the pastor in various life situations and religious educational processes.
Elective Module 6: Systematic Theology regarding the signs of the time (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Knowledge and competence in the use of the epistemology of the Second Vatican Council in the context of the scientific and challenging political demands of the present.
