Learning Outcome: Initial orientation into the methods and content of the BA programme. Overview of the individual subjects. First encounter with the tools and methods of scientific work.

Compulsory Module 3: Foundations: Psychological Anthropology - History of Philosophy - Theology (10 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)

Learning Outcome: Basic knowledge of systematic historical philosophy and psychology with the main emphasis on philosophical-historical, religious-philosophical and anthropological topics.
Compulsory Module 4: Epistemology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)

Learning Outcome: Knowledge of the systematic and methodological building blocks of an underlying knowledge which is foundation-based and subject to strict examination postulates different from non-secured orientation signs of meaning and belief in the framework of everyday action and connected events.
Compulsory Module 5: Hermeneutics and Theory of Knowledge and Science (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)

Learning Outcome: Overview of the most important scientific/theoretical movements and developments; knowledge of the conditions, possibilities and limits of scientific findings; knowledge of the conditions and norms of understanding, trusting with various scientific methods and the improvement in the ability to work on interdisciplinary affairs.

Learning Outcome: Orientation knowledge concerning the difference between psychological knowledge that is based on inter-subjectivity testable observations and findings and scientifically indefensible psychological claims.

Learning Outcome: Ability to take part in in-depth debates whose basic topics are classical and present-day metaphysics; understanding of the problems regarding the key methodological and content-related questions of metaphysics.
Compulsory Module 11: Philosophical Theology - Philosophy of Religion (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory module 3 (Foundations: Psychological Anthropology - History of Philosophy - Theology).
Learning Outcome: Enhanced knowledge of classical philosophical theology and of the current form of religious philosophy with regard to today's religious philosophical issues.
Compulsory Module 12: Philosophical Anthropology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Knowledge and competence for a critical encounter with traditional and current interpretations of human beings.

Learning Outcome: The ability to honour critically the meanings of religion in society in the mediation of interreligious competence, for example in a comprehensive school, following integrational and peace promoting steps.
Compulsory Module 18: Readings of Classical Texts concerning Theoretical Philosophy (10 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
