Compulsory Module 5: Introduction to Research Fields and Positions in European Ethnology (15 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students are able to identify the subjects of research in European Ethnology and are able to classify them with regards to history. They are able to formulate specific Europeanethnological questions and to present them. Students understand the most important Terms and theoretical approaches and are able to present them.
Compulsory Module 6: Methods and Approaches of European Ethnology (15 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Systematic acquisition of methodological knowledge, overview of the types of sources and their position within cultural analysis, competence to critically discuss an ethnography as precondition for cultural analysis, self-management and organisation skills
Compulsory Module 7: Cultural Theory (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of basic cultural theoretical positions, historical science, positioning of main categories of perception, training of cultural studies problem awareness.
Compulsory Module 8: Interculturality/Transculturality (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Knowledge of important methodological concepts of inter-/transculturality research; competence to apply important methodological and theoretical concepts of inter-/transculturality research to at least one field of inter-/transculturality research; in-depth exemplary study and reflection on inter-/transculturality research approaches in consideration of gender-specific aspects
