Learning Outcome: Students possess comprehensive factual knowledge and an advanced understanding of major areas of popular music especially of jazz, rock and pop music and of the methods of popular musicology.
Compulsory Module 8: Harmony and Counterpoint (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students possess basic knowledge of harmony and counterpoint and are able to recognize technical features and stereotypes in the context of the single piece.

Learning Outcome: Students possess basic knowledge in the area of musical acoustics, the new media and computer-aided analysis and research methods (e.g. sound analysis).
