Compulsory Module 19: Modelling (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students of this module understand the content of the lectures and they can reproduce and apply it. They can produce similar content for themselves. They are able to abstract, to model and to analyse simple problems from various applications of mathematics and to apply appropriate solution procedures. Moreover, they have gained a basic understanding of mathematical modelling.
Compulsory Module 20: Optimisation (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students of this module understand the content of the lectures and they can reproduce and apply it. They have acquired the ability to produce similar content by themselves. They can identify optimisation problems in applications and transfer them into a mathematical formula and implement the corresponding algorithms and solution procedures appropriately. Moreover, they should have gained a fundamental understanding of the methods of mathematical optimisation.
Compulsory Module 21: Subdisciplines of Mathematics (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
(no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students completing this module can deal methodologically correctly with a specific area of mathematics and present the results of this in both written and oral forms that are easy to understand.
Compulsory Module 22: Seminar with Bachelor Thesis (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
