Elective Module (22.5 ECTS-Credits)
Students must complete elective modules totalling 22.5 ECTS-Credits. Depending on the subject area of the Master Thesis, one of the elective modules 1 to 3 is to be chosen. In addition, students must choose elective modules 3a and 3b, elective module 4, elective modules 5 and 6 or elective module 7.

Elective Module 1: History of Philosophical Problems II (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Ability to academically discuss selected topics from the history of philosophy, utilizing the results of most recent research with regard to developing one's master thesis.
Elective Module 3: Practical Philosophy III (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Ability to academically discuss selected topics from practical philosophy, utilizing the results of most recent research with regard to developing one's master thesis.
Elective Module 3a: Special Issues of Present-Day Philosophy (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Extension and enhancement of the knowledge of selected issues and theories of present-day philosophy; ability to correlate selected issues and theories of present-day philosophy on the basis of presentations an readings of selected texts, competence to analyse them in the context of current research debates, ability to autonomously question them against the background of the historical context and to develop them further.
Elective Module 5: Methods of Guiding (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 5 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Basic insights and abilities for guiding in an ecclesial context (leadership competency, participation, vision, motivation, roles, charisms, office/appointment) and for methodical action in this respect.
Elective Module 6: Didactics of Religion: Special Issues (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Introduction to the connection between practical-theological thinking and acting and the theories of other theological and philosophical disciplines with respect to planning and guiding processes of education.
