Learning Outcome: Students are familiar with the methods of dynamic calculation in building construction and earthquake engineering. They are proficient in the process of analyzing dynamic engineering tasks - from data collection and modelling, numerical and measurement-based analysis, to the interpretation and evaluation of results.
Elective Module MOS 2-2: Modelling and Simulation 2-2 (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students are proficient in the theoretical principles of non-linear finite element methods (FEM) and are able to apply FEM for numerical simulation of the load-bearing capabilities of structures to the point of failure.
Elective Module MOS 2-3: Modelling and Simulation 2-3 (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students are proficient in the theoretical fundamentals and familiar with the application of procedures for structural calculations of beam, slab and shell structures.
Elective Module MOS 2-4: Modelling and Simulation 2-4 (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the use of concepts of higher analysis and optimization procedures in the technical sciences.
