Module 6: Art and Application (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Due to studies of original works of art and of the issues arising from their specific material quality and their state of preservation students have a profound understanding of Art History as a tool (object science).
Module 7: Methodology of Art History (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have acquired highly specialized skills that allow them to critically approach in an academic manner the broad range of art historical methods.
For individual specialisation modules of the curricula of the Master¿s programmes of the University of Innsbruck corresponding to a maximum of 10 ECTS-Credits can be freely selected. The prerequisites specified by the respective curricula must be met.
Module 9: Individual Choice of Specialisation (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: the prerequisites of the respective curricula do apply
Vereinbarung des Themas, des Umfangs und der Form der Masterarbeit auf Basis einer inhaltlichen Kurzbeschreibung /Exposé) sowie Vereinbarung der Arbeitsabläufe und des Studienfortgangs. Planung eines entsprechenden Zeitrahmens für die Durchführung der Masterarbeit.
Modul 10 (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: keine
Learning Outcome: Nach erfolgreicher Absolvierung de Moduls sind die Studierenden in der Lage, eine inhaltliche Kurzbeschreibung der geplanten Masterarbeit (Exposé) zu verfassen, einen zeitlichen Ablauf zu skizzieren und eine schriftliche Masterarbeitsvereinbarung abzuschließen.
Module 11: Master's Thesis Defense (2.5 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of all other compulsory and elective modules as well as the Master's Thesis
Learning Outcome: Examination of the Master's Thesis in the overall context of the Master's Programme in Art Science; with special focus on theoretical comprehension, methodical issues, communication of findings of the Master's Thesis and presentation skills.
