Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students master the basics of cartography and statistics and can choose appropriate descriptive statistical methods of evaluation for specific questions.
Compulsory Module 3: Economic Fundamentals (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have knowledge about basic concepts of economics and regional policy.
Compulsory Module 10: Regional Geography II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Students understand natural and cultural structures and processes in a selected territory and can explain and question the consequences of global change.
Compulsory Module 11: Introduction to Techniques of Human Geography (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Students have an overview of fundamental social scientific work methods in the field of geography. Moreover, they are able to autonomously evaluate, select and implement methods based on different questions.
Compulsory Module 12: Cartography and Statistics II (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory modules 1 and 2
Learning Outcome: Students master the basics of cartography and statistics. They can choose appropriate descriptive statistical methods of evaluation and interpret the results correctly.
Compulsory Module 17: Space and Time (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Students know how to evaluate space-time dimensions of geography and selected neighbouring disciplines.
Compulsory Module 19: Applied Geography and Spatial Planning (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: Students know how to apply geographic results and skills in order to identify, analyse and solve social problems in the context of space.
