Module 1: Methods and Theory of Psychology (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students are able to critically examine the potential and limitations of various methods, to assess their practical applications, and to reflect on the implicit requirements of the methods of psychology. They understand the logic of cognition and ethical aspects of psychological research, and they are competent in questions of scientific theory and various qualitative and quantitative procedures.
Module 2: Psychological Diagnostics I (5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess sound knowledge of a variety of test procedures. Personality diagnostics frequently used in practice can be assessed in terms of their construction and the personality theories upon which they are based. As a result, diagnostic instruments can be chosen and applied appropriately.
Module 3: Psychological Diagnostics II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 2.
Learning Outcome: Students are able to collect and assess diagnostic information. Specific to particular diagnostic questions, data collection and evaluation processes can be used to offer professional opinion in written form.
Module 4: Counselling Techniques (2.5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 6.
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students understand and can apply various counselling techniques (e.g. active listening, mirroring, circular questioning, clarification) in various contexts (e.g. initial contact, therapy). Students are able to critically analyse their performance and to apply various counselling techniques.
Module 5: Basic Research (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)

Learning Outcome: Students acquire in-depth knowledge and comprehensive insights into various areas of human thought, experience and behaviour. They understand and can question and assess the genesis of scientific knowledge. They are able to apply this knowledge to a wide variety of bio-psycho-social phenomena.
Module 6: Advanced Clinical Psychology I (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess in-depth knowledge of the most important psychotherapeutic methods and their intervention techniques for various disorders. Moreover, students have acquired an overview of the various research approaches in psychotherapeutic process and outcome research. They are able to view these critically with regard to research and practice.
Module 7: Advanced Clinical Psychology II (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 6.
Learning Outcome: As a result of intensive work on a chosen disorder, students possess in-depth understanding of the genesis, progress and treatment of psychological disorders. They are familiar with the most important psychotherapeutic techniques, their uses and limitations. Moreover, students are able to implement central elements of various intervention techniques.
Module 8: Advanced Industrial and Organizational Psychology I (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess sound competence in the application of diagnostic methods in industrial and organizational psychology and knowledge of the underlying theoretical concepts (particularly activity theory, alienation, humanistic motivation theories, sociotechnical systems, micropolitical approach, organizational development concepts). This enables students to conduct analyses and diagnoses independently and to plan investigations in companies. This provides the foundation for further specialization in industrial and organizational psychology.
Module 9: Advanced Applied Psychology (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess in-depth knowledge of core issues and methods in areas of the field. They understand characteristic theories and research methods of a particular area and are familiar with the specialist literature.
Module 10: Internship (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students have acquired insights into professional and/or scientific practice. They are familiar with the tasks, problems and conditions of the work of psychologists. They possess the competence to analyse issues involved in psychological practice and are able to plan and conduct psychological interventions. They are capable of analysing professional experiences from various perspectives and understand personal, social and institutional conditions associated with psychological activities. Moreover, they possess a conceptual understanding of the relationship between theory and practice and can use this understanding during their further theoretical training.
The students get an overview of the current state of research on the topic of the Master's thesis and - on the basis of this - they formulate a scientific questions. In an exposé, the students outline their reflections on the research questions dealt with in their Master's Thesis, their plan for examining the question and on the methodical implementation. On this basis, the further work steps are agreed on as well as a timeframe for completing the Master's Thesis.
Module 11: Preparation of the Master's Thesis (7,5 ECTS-Credits)

Learning Outcome: After successful completion of this module, the students are able to get an overview of the current state of research, to develop an independent research question, write an abstract on the planned Master's Thesis, outline a timeline and conclude a Master's Thesis agreement.
Module 12: Defence of the Master's Thesis (2.5 ECTS-Credits)

Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of all other compulsory and elective modules as well as the master's thesis.
Learning Outcome: To reflect on the master's thesis within the context of the entire master's programme in psychology. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical understanding, methodical principles and presentation of results of the master's thesis.
This module consists of a lecture on the theoretical foundations, methods and results of the master's thesis and the final oral defence of the master's thesis before an examination committee. Notes:
