Compulsory Module 15: Electrical Measurement Technology (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of studies induction and orientation stage (relevant course examinations)
Learning Outcome: Students - have advanced knowledge of th e essential and fundamental principles of electoral measuring techniques and systems. - are familiar with the function and use of important sensors or measuring devices as well as the associated basic circuits.
Compulsory Module 16: Modelling and Simulation (5 ECTS-Credits; 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of studies induction and orientation stage (relevant course examinations)
Learning Outcome: Students - are able to describe the specified time of technical systems from different domains by means of ordinary differential equations. - have the competence to analyse the properties of such models and to select and implement appropriate simulation algorithms on their basis.
Compulsory Module 17: Digital Technology and Computer Science 4 (7.5 ECTS-Credits; 5 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of studies induction and orientation stage (relevant course examinations)
Learning Outcome: Students - are familiar with the fundamental tasks and methods of software engineering; - are able to competently apply this discipline for finding innovative solutions for practical problems; - are able to implement macro through microarchitectures for solving probl ems in mechatronics.
Compulsory Module 18: Mechanical Engineering 3 (7.5 ECTS-AP; 5 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of studies induction and orientation stage (relevant course examinations)
Learning Outcome: Students - are familiar with the theoretical foundations of 3D CAD systems and the possibilities associated with different modelling types; - can apply the basic knowledge of mechanics, kinematics and strength theory for the design and calculation of simple technical components. They can calculate and dimension selected machine elements in accordance with standards and se lect them with regard to the function.
Compulsory Module 19: Strength of Materials (5 ECTS-AP; 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of studies induction and orientation stage (relevant course examinations)
Learning Outcome: Students are able to determine stress es and deformations of deformable bars due to static and thermal stresses.
