Module 1: Special Methods and Issues in Psychological Basic Research (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 5
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge of special issues in psychological basic research; this includes knowledge of relevant research paradigms, theoretical concepts and basic research findings. They are able to apply special methods of basic research and to use the acquired knowledge for their own research development and for practical applications.
Module 2: Current Developments Psychological Basic Research I (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 5
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess in-depth knowledge of the latest developments and are able to critically examine the innovative value of various developments and to understand them in historical context. They are able to critically analyse research findings from the perspective of gender studies. Students are capable of developing further questions and hypotheses for investigation.
Module 3: Current Developments in Psychological Basic Research II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)

Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess in-depth knowledge of the latest developments and are able to critically examine the innovative value of various developments and to understand them in historical context. Module 4: Special Clinical Research Methods (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 6
Learning Outcome: Students possess competences in the practical application of special research methods in clinical psychology. They are able to apply the acquired knowledge to their own investigations.
Module 5: Special Topics in Intervention and Therapy Research (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 6
Learning Outcome: Students are able to reflect critically on the current state of research of a clinical psychological or psychotherapeutic approach. They are able to critically analyse research findings from the perspective of current psychotherapeutic research. The completion of this module enables students to develop further questions and hypotheses for investigation.
Module 6: Advanced Clinical Practice (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 6
Learning Outcome: Students possess in-depth knowledge of selected fields of practice and are familiar with the latest developments. They are able to critically examine the innovative value of various developments in clinical psychology and to understand them in interdisciplinary contexts. They are able to critically discuss research findings and techniques in clinical psychology and to develop further questions and hypotheses for investigation.
Module 7: Advanced Industrial and Organizational Psychology (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)

Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 8
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess sound knowledge of the content and methods of industrial and organizational psychology and personnel and organization development. They are also competent in the basics of professional ethics. This enables them, together with the material in compulsory module 8, to independently assess and analyse requirements and problems in organizations and to develop appropriate consulting and intervention measures.
Module 8: Advanced Applied Psychological Practice (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 8
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess sound knowledge of the content and methods of one or several areas in the field. They also possess social and communicative skills and basic knowledge of professional ethics. This enables them, together with the material from compulsory module 8, to independently assess and analyse requirements and problems in occupational fields and to develop appropriate consulting and intervention measures.
Module 9: Advanced Industrial and Organizational Psychology II (5 ECTS-Credits, 2 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 8
Learning Outcome: After completing this module, students possess sound knowledge of the content and methods of areas within industrial and organizational psychology. They understand additional theories and research methods of a subfield and are familiar with the state of research pertaining to selected topic areas within that subfield.
