Compulsory Module 1: Methodology of Philosophical Thinking (5 ECTS-Credits, 3 h)

Learning Outcome: The students can properly apply the scientific formalities necessary for philosophical work; they can independently represent and critically evaluate claims to validity in various areas of human thought and action.
Compulsory Module 2: Fundamentals of Systematic Philosophy (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)

Learning Outcome: The students have in-depth theoretical knowledge of the philosophical theory of reality with special attention to the position of humans in overall reality and the normative foundations of human life.
Compulsory Module 3: Religion in Philosophy and Empirical Sciences (10 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)

Learning Outcome: The students can relate different scientific approaches to the religions and know their main content. They can classify validity claims in the field of religions and independently assess them critically.
Compulsory Module 4: Psychology and Ethics (10 ECTS-Credits, 5 h)

Learning Outcome: The students can relate psychological, philosophical and theological images of man to one another; They can apply ethical forms of argumentation from the past and the present and innovatively to specific fields independently.
Compulsory Module 5: History of Philosophy (10 ECTS-Credits, 6 h)

Learning Outcome: The students are able to present fundamental problems of the occidental history of philosophy and its most important positions on a high theoretical level.
Compulsory Module 6: Philosophy of Knowledge and Recognition (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: Students know the most important epistemological terms and positions and can present them independently and in a context-appropriate manner. They are able to independently and critically examine their justifications as well as special concepts from the current epistemological discussion.
Compulsory Module 7: Logic and Philosophy of Language (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students are able to analyse philosophical-argumentative texts independently and at a high theoretical level in terms of linguistic philosophy and formal logic.
Compulsory Module 8: Theory of Science and Interdisciplinary Learning (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students can independently and critically assess arguments and validity claims in the field of science, in particular in bordering areas and interfaces to other discourses and present them appropriately.
Compulsory Module 9: Social Philosophy (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students have basic knowledge of socio-philosophical and socio-political concepts from the past and the present at a high theoretical level. They can independently identify and analyse social injustices, especially gender injustices, and critically evaluate relevant descriptive and normative claims.
Compulsory Module 10: Philosophy of Mind (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students are able to independently and critically assess ¿ at a high theoretical level - various theoretical approaches to human beings as being gifted with awareness and acting and present them in a context-appropriate manner.
Compulsory Module 11: Current Issues in Ethics and Contemporary Culture (10 ECTS-AP, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students know the factual basics and approaches of normative orientation in current issues in applied ethics and contemporary culture at a high theoretical level and can independently form and substantiate opinions in these areas.
Compulsory Module 12: Metaphysics and Ontology (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)

Learning Outcome: The students can independently present current approaches to world view analysis, they can identify and analyse the implicit requirements of world views and are able to apply criteria for their assessment.
Compulsory Module 13: Exemplary Examination of a Topic (20 ECTS-Credits, 8 h)
Prerequisites for registration: successful completion of compulsory module 1
Learning Outcome: The students can work on exemplary research questions from philosophy or theology on a high theoretical level independently and jointly and present the results of their work in a context-appropriate manner.
Compulsory Module 14: Bachelor¿s Thesis (15 ECTS-Credits, 1 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: The students are able to independently write a Bachelor¿s Thesis in a self-selected sub-area of philosophy according to the applicable standards of academic writing.
