Compulsory Module 5: The Philosophy of Religious Traditions (10 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: The students have the competence to present the main directions of Jewish and Islamic philosophy as well as their relations to Western philosophy and their development in an appropriate manner. They are able to examine representative texts from other religious traditions (e.g. Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, Confucianism) for their philosophical background assumptions and to make methodologically correct intercultural comparisons.
