Courses
(1) Compulsory modules covering 20 ECTS-Credits are to be passed:
(2) 5 ECTS-Credits are to be passed from elective modules.
(3) 5 ECTS-Credits are to be passed from the following elective modules:
- Students of the Bachelor's Programme Philosophy may not pass elective module 3.
- Students of the Bachelor's Programme Archaeologies may not pass elective modules 4, 5, 6 and 7.
Monor: Classics (30 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: (1) The Minor "Classics" covering 30 ECTS-Credits may be selected by regular degree students of bachelor's programmes at the University of Innsbruck if the respective curriculum provides the possibility to pass a Minor.
(2) The individual modules and courses of the Minor "Classics" may be studied, providing the availability of places.
(3) Students of the Bachelor's Programme Classica et Orientalia may not pass the Minor "Classics".
Learning Outcome: Graduates of the Minor "Classics" have acquired a broad overview of the literature and culture of classical antiquity in its historical context. They have also gained an insight in either the philosophy or the art of antiquity. They are competent in dealing with significant texts, myths, ideas and events from antiquity and are aware of the reception processes through which these are present in the cultural memory of posterity up to the present day.
