Compulsory Module 1: Innovation and Tradition (14 ECTS-Credits; 17 h)

Learning Outcome: The graduates can develop innovative project ideas and design and realize creative artistic projects. In doing so they apply appropriate strategies for their implementation, because they have acquired an advanced specialist knowledge and competences in the fields of design, body, space and technology by working on projects. They know about the significance and the framework conditions of innovative processes for the social, economic and cultural development and reflect them critically. They design and realize interdisciplinary and possibly transnational projects across institutes and examine and discuss various areas such as art, design, architecture, engineering, economics, crafts (transdisciplinary approach). Furthermore, the participants know about traditional and current educational strategies in the museum and exhibition sector.
Compulsory Module 2: Subject-Didactics (7 ECTS-Credits; 6 h)

Learning Outcome: Graduates incorporate neuroscience findings into their pedagogical activities to promote motor skills and cognition. They understand that the development of the subject and the various names for the subject are related to social conditions. Furthermore, they can form an aesthetic research focus and use suitable measures of documentation and evaluation, evaluate expert literature and link it to their own research. This way they link theory and practice in the sense of aesthetic research and can present, communicate and impart results. They are able to link experiences from their own teaching practice to didactic concepts and artistic-practical issues, reflect them in a subject-didactic way, argue in an action-oriented way and to subject it to professional discourse. On this basis, they plan, design and reflect teaching Handicrafts and Textile Arts in a project-oriented way and across subjects based on contemporary subject pedagogy in consideration of inclusion and diversity.
Compulsory Module 3: Methodology and Study Design (4 ECTS-Credits; 2 h)

Learning Outcome: The graduates are familiar with a variety of theories, methods and research approaches that are relevant for writing of a research paper. On this basis, they independently develop the subject-specific knowledge required for the preparation of their Master's Thesis. They connect their empirical knowledge with scientific theories and use appropriate methods for their research approach. They voice their opinion in a scientific discourse. They are able to embed their own artistic practice in a scientific-artistic context and to elaborate it linguistically and visually in an adequate form.
