Compulsory Module 1: Philosophy of Science, Interdisciplinarity and Research Methods (5 ECTS-Credits; 3 h) (no courses)

Learning Outcome: Graduates have an understanding of the interrelations of the theory of science and special issues in theological disciplines. They are able to present concepts and methods of religious-pedagogical research as well as approaches in school and educational research.
Compulsory Module 3: Qur¿an, the Prophet's Mindset and Ways of Acting in Religious-Educational Perspective (10 ECTS-Credits; 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates are able to analyse and develop religious-educational concepts from religious sources such as the Qur¿an and the tradition of the prophet.
Compulsory Module 7: Islamic Cultural and Educational History in the European Context (12.5 ECTS-Credits; 6 h ) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates are able to analyse and evaluate Islamic culture, history and science in Europe from an Islamic-theological perspective and to reflect on the developments in a contempo-rary context.
Vereinbarung des Themas, des Umfangs und der Form der Masterarbeit auf Basis einer inhaltlichen Kurzbeschreibung (Exposés) sowie Vereinbarung der Arbeitsabläufe und des Studienfortgangs. Planung eines entsprechenden Zeitrahmens für die Durchführung der Masterarbeit.

Learning Outcome: Nach erfolgreicher Absolvierung des Moduls sind die Studierenden in der Lage, eine inhaltliche Kurzbeschreibung der geplanten Masterarbeit (Exposé) zu verfassen, einen zeitlichen Ablauf zu skizzieren und eine schriftliche Masterarbeitsvereinbarung abzuschließen.
Compulsory Module 11: Master's Thesis Defense (2.5 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: positive completion of all other compulsory modules and the Master¿s Thesis
Learning Outcome: Reflection of the Master¿s Thesis in the overall context of the Master¿s Programme. The focus lies on theoretical understanding, methodological fundamentals, imparting of the results of the Master¿s Thesis and presentation skills.
